HighCo Metaland brings Hytech to Decentraland

HighCo Metaland case study

HighCo Metaland has organised an internal event for Hytech, a consulting firm for digital transformations. 

Concept

The event, which took place from Thursday 15 to Saturday 17 December 2022, aimed to bring a thousand Hytech employees from different countries around the world together in a single, digital space specially created for the occasion.

Client profile

Hytech is a digital-strategy consulting firm based in Singapore. Hytech wanted employees from different offices around the world to be able to come together for end-of-year celebrations and to commemorate the company’s rebranding.

Content of the experience

We created an experience that Hytech employees were able to attend on the platform Decentraland. It included personalised avatars, interactive activities, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in the Hytech colours, mini-games, questions linked to the company culture, a photobooth, a livestream of the CEO’s end-of-year speech and a lottery! The team also produced an ‘emote’: an animation that allowed employee avatars to perform a dance popular on TikTok and within the Hytech group

Result

The event succeeded in bringing together around one thousand Hytech employees in the same digital space, despite the physical distances that separated them. The 
increase in on-field activity also drew external visitors, making the space the fourth most visited on Decentraland on 15 December 2022.

The first steps in the metaverse have been a true practical lesson for the Hytech team:

•    Obtaining their first NFTs: wearables and emotes

The HighCo Metaland team produced a detailed guide for the occasion as a way to help Hytech employees understand the ins and outs of the metaverse experience.

In short, the HighCo Metaland experience allowed Hytech to bring its employees together in a fun, interactive virtual space, offering an experience that introduced them to the metaverse technology. This also allowed the company culture to be reinforced and the rebranding of the group to be celebrated in an original, innovative manner. The enthusiastic participation on the Decentraland platform showed the growing interest companies have in the metaverse and the opportunities that it offers for remote internal communication and collaboration. In turn, this event highlighted the skills HighCo Metaland has in creating of immersive experiences in the metaverse for companies.
